Wedding, Photographer(s) II

The sequel to yesterday’s entry, this shot, I think, explains the goings-on a little more and makes a good Part II of this mini-series (it ends here). I’ve got a few more shots in queue, so stay tuned!

Also, I just noticed how effective the white garments are for lighting a backlit subject. You get the best of both worlds: No one is squinting, the sun is glowing in gorgeous outlines around them, and the exposure is good for their face and the background. I’m going to make a note of this.

Yeah, good call on the white garments. And very good call on your DOF for this shot. And I think this may be the better of the two–though I like how you’ve serialized them. Nice.

Oh, right — I forgot to mention that both of these shots were taken on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge. These guys were looking at one of the “Historical Info” signs about the bridge.

This picture is perfect. Just perfect. The expressions on their faces, the way the sun outlines people on the side they’re looking toward, even the little details like being able to see the hairs on the striped-shirt guy’s arm or the groom’s jacket not being perfect… all of this just adds to perfection. Nice job.
