To lighten to mood around here a little bit I decided to post this one that, for some reason, reminds me of Gary Larson’s The Far Side series that so defines who I am today. It’s true, it really is. I think reading the anthologies several times each kind of made my sense of humor the way it is. Which is to say, weird and not understandable by most. Calvin and Hobbes contributed quite a bit to my life, too, though — maybe this explains something, although what exactly I’ll never know. Do tell if you come up with something, as I’m always up for a good bout of soul-searching.
Speaking of figuring out who I am, I went to my interview with the headhunter today. I’ve got to say, it’s a pretty hard transition to living a vacation life to having to get up in the morning and — gasp! — having to be somewhere at a certain hour. This whole process was complicated by several other variables, namely: staying out late last night with Craigulate and Chornig and also not knowing (seriously, not knowing at all) how long it takes to get to places on the subway. I took my best guess and landed in front of the building at 9:55 AM for my 10 AM appointment, which I thought was not only a feat of practical divine intervention but also of just fate in general. Especially considering the fact that I wanted to take a cab but couldn’t hail one so just surrendered to the subway and, unbeknownst to me, got on the exact express train that I needed to arrive anywhere near on time. Sometimes, I swear, it’s better to just follow your instincts. Especially in the city, where it’s a dog-eat-dog world. I know because I’ve been here for awhile.
My parents are shaking their heads right now. But hey, it all worked out, didn’t it? I mean, the interview went well and she’s definitely going to help me find a job. And I got a semi-decent 6 hours of sleep to boot! Awesome.

Hey Andy, glad you made it to the interview on time, I would have felt somewhat guilty if you hadn’t. Want to do anything on Thursday? Like the photo, funny how it could only work in black and white

when i saw this picture i though exactly what jizzandl said. almost scary. i think we should date. and you are officially no longer able to complain about having to get up in the morning when you don’t have to be anywhere until 10. so how did the interview go? give us some news already. since i am not able to talk to you, you have to update this site with new information atleast once a day…
