Rolling

One of my favorites from the walk through Central Park North — and possibly one of my favorite landscape shots in recent history.

So when are you going to make a real portfolio of your "thesis" shots?? This one clearly fits in quite nicely.

I find myself wanting a little more tonal differentiation between the bands of rock and grass, which are already quite beautiful – just to help them stand out a little bit. This could be my monitor though. Either way, another thought-provoking shot, Cog…

for now, you can see all of my "thesis" shots by hitting "project" in the archive, which basically sends you to this page:

in the meantime, i'm also coding a Flash photo viewer that will take you through all of my thesis shots in a gallery-type format.
it's really hard to code, so stay tuned…

I think I agree with Jandl about the, uh, tonal differentiation. Most of your shots grab my attention right away. This one, once I make myself focus on it, I see that it's interesting, but I do have to kind of make myself focus on it.

The "uh" in your comment is totally justified, Becca…that little piece of terminology in my comment was a total invention. Sounds good though, right? (Or maybe just geeky).

Awesome. I thought my uncertainty as to the correct usage of your terminology resulted purely from my own ignorance. So you had me fooled. Not that that says much.
