I know, the delay since my last update is truly unforgiveable. The problem is: I got a job. And now I’m working from 8:30 to 6, with a half-hour commute on either end, which means in just a few weeks it’s going to be dark out on both ends of the work day, leaving me with very little time to shoot. That, plus all I’ve wanted to do upon returning home at night has been to eat and then go to sleep. Publishing isn’t a cake walk, that’s for sure.
Re: this image, I have to say, I initially didn’t pay much attention to it, preferring some other shots from this night. But now, upon second glance, I’m growing quite fond of it. I don’t know whether it’s the front of the cab in there of the two guys talking or the woman striding across the street on the far right, but in many ways this sums up a lot of my experiences on the streets here in NYC. As always, let me know what you think. It does, though, lack a little of its impact when it’s not full-screen. It’s one of those photos that have to be big enough to include you in the scene to get a real feel for it. Alas.

I like the woman walking, the conversation in the foreground, and the arch of the lamp posts in the background. It’s an interesting shot.
