I like the circular movement in this shot – the way your eyes tend to move through the trees, from the trunk on the right, across the branch, down the trees in the background and then back to the foreground through the shadows.
I will say that I miss the color, though (as nice as the tones are here). I only saw it on your camera LCD, so I maybe I’m talking out my ass. But I wonder whether the color might enforce your “motive” even more. Or maybe it would distract from the movement aspect. Guess I’d have to look at it on a screen that measured over 2.5″ to really know…
