Update: I reposted this image with a new crop and a slight change to the Curves. I wasn’t working on a calibrated monitor before — so here’s what I meant to post the first time
Central Park, near The Ramble. Which is, as I found out, a very sketchy place but still very peaceful. So peaceful, in fact, that it’s sketchy. It made me think that this is what the Black Forest looks like year-round. Weird. Karsten, you can either confirm this or shoot me down big-time.
The colors you see here are exactly as they appeared to my eye when I was standing there. Which is really scary, if you think about it.

Wow.
Just…wow.
I think I just need to stare at this one every time my students and my job in general stress me out.

Yeah, I’m gonna have to go ahead and disagree with Becca and say this one kinda disturbs me with the toxic-green water–Ectocooler, as Cyndi points out.
Still, a calm scene. And nice greens.

andy, the first thing I thought when I saw this picture is that it looks exactly like the area around here. Good call my man. Also, gorgeous picture.

I’m still wondering what is happening on the bench, next to the white-styrofoam cup. Too vexing. I think some coffee will ease my anxiety…
