Love the framing and the amazing 3D feeling to this shot, Andy. A tough exposure, to be sure, but you got pretty much everything and the highlights through the trees – presumably what Chris is talking about – don't bother me overmuch.
Thanks, Chris and Nate. I did, indeed, spend a lot of time on the middle of this photo, and while I was partially able to pull the exposure back to a point where it seemed a bit less "bleached," the rest of the shot (particularly the the swath of light on the far right) didn't seem to make as much sense.

Very fun, especially because of the ambiguity of whether this is a wall, a cistern, a well, …..more satisfying, thanks to how you cropped it, not being able to determine it, forcing me to enjoy its curvilinear relationship to the vertical lines of the trees, etc…..Very fun.
