Yes, I know I have been posting lots of Black and Whites lately, but I just feel that a lot of my shots gain something with the color removed. Don’t worry, I have some colors in the works for the next day or two.
It’s been kind of a lazy day today. I didn’t sleep well last night, waking up several times in the wee hours and then again when the roomates were getting ready for work, so I canceled my 9:30 alarm and slept in till 11 or so. Waking up wasn’t even easy at that time, since I guess I got under 8 hours of sleep even despite sleeping in so late… I don’t know. Now I won’t be able to sleep tonight, either, though I suppose that’s good as it’s more motivation to go out on the town and actually go to a club or something, which I have yet to do in my one week of being here.
Which reminds me: In just a few hours I will have been in NYC for exactly one week. It’s my one week anniversary with the Big Apple. Kinda cool, I think. True, it’ll be cooler when it’s my one-year anniversary. Especially since that will mean I made it through an NYC summer. Ugh. Is it bad that I’m already dreading it? Maybe, but also maybe I’ll be looking forward to it come January and February. Yeah.
Well, I’ve dragged you through enough of my sleep-deprived prose. I need to figure out where I want to go today — I’m getting a little exhausted from all these quasi-touristy walks around the city. But I have only really seen my neighborhood, leaving… thousands that I still want to explore. Excellent.

Damn, I guess I have to explain myself now. I just wrote a long and witty comment here and the whole damn thing never got posted. When I hit the post button it took me to an error page. So then I decided to test the comment area by just writing “nooo†and the damn thing worked. Well, now I’m POed. Just like the guy in this picture. He does not look like a happy camper. That’s how I started the last entry, but I’m not going to write it all again and most of the wit will be lost on most of you. Which is truly unfortunate, because I enjoyed writing it. Well, it sounds like the NYC exploring is going well and I’m sure you don’t look like a tourist walking around NYC in the middle of the day with a big ass camera strapped around your neck. Speaking of big asses…(take it where you will, but not too far). So yeah, party hard on your one week anniversary in the big city and let me know how it goes. Peace.

Actually, I think the fisherman looks like he’s gonna whup your Wisconsin butt if you get near his fishing spot.
Nice capture, again. You’re getting good at this (not that I suspected otherwise). And Josh…nice recovery on the comment. I laughed at least once.
