This was not an easy scene, but you surely did it justice. The blue caught under the screen door is so key – it allows the eye to both move into the scene and also jump upwards to the other blue areas. Your framing is also right-on, but I think the other thing that makes this image work is that your DOF is JUST enough. The distinction between the door/sapling and the house is exactly what we need to know, finally, where to rest our eyes.
