Having taken a thousand photos from this same beach, I love that you’ve done something I’ve never tried here. The blurred sailboat is wonderful, as is the whole sense of simultaneous calm and movement. Very printable shot.

This feels like classic Cogbill to me, in a way that I can’t quite identify perfectly. But that’s a good thing. Good eye!

Coming back to this one, I find myself really enjoying it as an abstract – as opposed, obviously, to a particular arrangement of trees on a hillside. It’s one of those scenes that few people would notice, but which gives back a lot with repeated viewing.

We’ve already spoken (as per usual) about the ridiculosity of this exposure, but I’d rather talk about how great the bracketing of the two trees is for holding our eyes, how the almost ship-like shape of the house dips us into the great spring background, and how the palette of light greens and browns and blues here is just very nice. Good discovery, well-captured.

Great use of the wide-angle perspective. And of your entire frame. And of Hp5. Though even just the texture and tones of the snow on the windshield are worth it. Fun shot!

A masterful study in lines, and balanced perfectly by that…thing…tower…whatever…in the corner. I think the monochrome helps to keep us focused on shapes as well – color might have made it feel a little *too* recognizable.

Thanks, Nadan. What you’re seeing is actually part of a fence. Thought the vignetting hid it sufficiently but I guess I’ll have to spend some more time finessing!!
