I’m trying to make this Vienna where they signed the peace treaty after WWII…I find it more interesting compositionally than technically, as the highlights on the ‘path” (could be the light leading the world on a new path to peace) seems to be eminating through the “triumphant” arch, symbolic that peace will “triumph” over war…..and the image is enhanced by the tree branches, themselves apparently victims of the war recalling Jefferson’s famous Tree of Liberty saying:
“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” as this tree reaches out towards the new dawn of liberty.
