Big Apple

After almost three hours of post-processing this image — including 5 curves layers, two image layers, a channel mixer layer and a hue/saturation layer (some from the infamous Walkify action) — I am ready to post this one. Let me know what you think of it. Also, if you feel the web-sized version of this is too small, tell me and I’ll try to find a way to post a bigger one.

No comments on what I would consider my best photo to date. You people are weird.

Well you only just put it up.

I think this is one of the most candid captures you’ve taken, and a particularly eerie one somehow. I love the background lights and movement as well.

I like that you are starting to capture faces and emotions. Your attraction to the absurd in city life is also appealing. And I like the lights in the background and the black of her coat. But the Apple thing could do with some contrast work, as long as your already Photoshopping like mad.

And yes, I know that second ‘your’ should be ‘you’re’. If it was a year ago, someone (Becca), would have already pointed it out.

Andy, I like this one a lot. It made me laugh. For some reason, it makes me imagine the apple guy running down the street after the woman and falling over. So good job – I like pictures that make me feel like i’ve stopped in the middle of a story. Also, love the lights in the background and the four sewer things (yeah i don’t know what they’re called)in the road. I know you didn’t choose to put them there, but I still like them
