I think the thing that most interests me about this image, besides the technical quality, is its familiarity. And I don’t mean that in the “it’s cliche” sense, but that your eye is working in a manner that I have not seen since your first months in NYC. Perhaps it’s the new lense? Either way, I’m enjoying the shot. At first I wasn’t sure about the strip of lightness at the far left of the image, but I took the liberty of cropping just to compare, and your version is better. Without it, the photo becomes a little unbalanced and loses a certain amount of continuity of the background.
