Alone in a Valley

Taken in a valley north of Bolungarvik, which took an hour to drive into due to the winding gravel road. It was worth every minute, though, as I was utterly alone and the only sounds were of water and wind.

Keep in mind, too, that this photo was taken last July, so the snow should be a good indicator of just how cold it was there.

    Classic landscape. Love it.

Gorgeous. Have I mentioned I need to go there?

In this shot, I particularly enjoy the warped funhouse-mirror effect of the clouds coming into the valley on the left. Also the texture of the water in the foreground.

Like Becca, I love the feeling of an avalanche of clouds cascading into the alpine valley. Nice.
